The room was ok, except for a leaking sink waste. I had to be moved to another room. The second room was ok. The bed and the shower were good and the room was generally clean. Also, tea and coffee making facilities were provided. The boxed breakfast was as expected and no complaints there.

Everything really, the only thing that I felt was wrong was the air conditioning in the bar area. It did get quite cold in there later on. Seemingly I had requested the room, but did not remember. All good.

City with a dated shopping centre and lots of restaurants but not much more. Cathedral and grounds, museum and Cathedral Square well worth visiting. Lots of old buildings but lots of rubbish, streets were grubby and littered!

Peterborough came across as poor and unloved.
Peterborough came across as poor and unloved.
I walked through the centre of town on a Wednesday night around 10:30 and did not feel safe - not normally affected like this.
There are groups of homeless people around the town, not necessarily bothering people but they need support and shouldn’t be left to roam the streets. Far more homeless here than anywhere I visited recently.
This was a work visit, I would not visit for pleasure

Peterborough not the best city in the world, but a few shops to mooch about it, and plenty of places to eat and drink. Mum and I took a trip to the cinema. Was nice. This hotel IS NOT in the town centre. Its a little drive. But that is what we wanted.

Cathedral area well worth a visit.
Cathedral area well worth a visit.
Nene Park area lovely with good flat walking and nice refreshments available. Excellent pitch n putt course.
Nene valley railway station at Peterborough worth a visit to eco garden area.
Plus train trips.
Flag fen on outskirts is definitely worth a look, really interesting and a nice walk too.
Like all cities there are some less charming areas! But some good cafes in town, Gossip good coffee and Fratellis in Rivergate for coffee and breakfast. Oh and East on the river for Asian fusion food and to sit in a boat!
The hotel is basic clean and fine for what we needed. Very peaceful nights sleep. I did feel the hotel sits on the back of its attached restaurant thou tbh. No bar at all just the restaurant. We did dine here for the evening and found it excellent maybe too much food. Just be aware the hotel is in a area largely populated by Eastern Europeans which to myself what astounded by. Anyway it served its purposes. Peterborough Town is lovely and cathedral amazing.
The hotel was situated within a short walking distance from the city centre, with bus stops close by with a regular service by numerous buses to the bus station in the centre, near the railway station. My standard double room was a good size, clean with a very comfortable bed. A good hot, self service breakfast was provided in a large area on the ground floor, which was also the bar and restaurant during the day.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was very clean but quite old fashioned. Breakfast was served in your your room at your selected time. There was a choice of items both hot and cold. There was no seperate bar but you could get drinks from the attached restaurant. There was free car parking and the car parked was secured overnight. Its about a 10 minute walk from the main town centre.
Really comfortable and spacious rooms which are well equipped and very clean. Good beds and plenty of towels and toiletries. The hotel has a lovely spa, with a well designed pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, as well as loungers for reading. Breakfast was also plentiful and varied. big and convenient car park too, as well as polite and courteous staff.
Very friendly staff, since I do not like living on the upper floors, and the administrator very quickly solved this problem: she changed my room to a lower floor.
Very comfortable mattress, I slept well. The very center of the city, near the train station, restaurants and much more. The price is three times lower than the same hotels in this area.
Lovely spacious room, tastefully decorated, elegant and refined. From check in to check out all staff we encountered were exceptionally gracious. We really enjoyed the old fashioned grand hotel ambiance.
I love the location of the hotel, the room was lovely and clean, the staff are very friendly and nothing is a problem like some places I’ve stayed in. Highly recommend this hotel in Peterborough
Location suitable as I’ve stayed here with work on many occasions, I had traveled back from Germany and dropped work colleagues off in Peterborough then planned to stay at the hotel as normal.
Lots of space for parking. Good spacious shower room. Clean hotel with nice decor. Good central location close to bars and restaurants. Would stay here again if in Peterborough.
Convenient and easy to find Hotel for the traveler. Very convenient for a Peterborough city trip
Parking directly outside hotel, albeit adjacent to services public parking.
