This is the best place I've been to around Rayong (~30 km).
The check-in with the owners was easy, immediately making me feel at home. The bungalow was brand spanking new and spotless. The area is in the middle of nature, so it's very quiet and relaxing.

From the check in until departure everything was dealt with respectfully. I rode my motorbike from South Pattaya to this resort and was immediately happy. Nice room, nice pool and a wonderful welcome from the Manager Mel. She asked if I needed anything and 2 minutes later delivered some cold beers to my apartment. This has quickly become my escape from South Pattaya. She advised me to visit Ta Phong food market and I got some delicious food at local prices. Love this resort. I will be back. Slightly over 400 baht per night. Superb.

The location on it's own beach was fantastic, the views of Koh Samed were beautiful. The restaurants and Bars were welcoming hover very very expensive for the quality and choice of food. We discovered better places to eat and drink only a short drive from the hotel.
The rooms were very nice, simple and older in style, but clean and the staff were very helpful.
Mac Garden Resort & Restaurant is located in Rayong, a 10-minute drive from Suanson Beach. It offers a restaurant and rooms with a cable TV. WiFi and parking are free.
